Want Dolby Atmos? TCL's Z100 has you SURROUNDED!

The TCL Z100 wireless surround sound speakers are built specifically for TCL TVs that feature Dolby Atmos FlexConnect in my case that would be the TCL QM9K 75" which is currently the finest TV I own. There is also a subwoofer but I have not yet bought that. I bought these with my own money from my local Best Buy and in short, with the right content and surround Codec (Dolby ATMOS) they are quite impressive.
I am a now retired Electronics Technician with a passion for audio and video and those two worlds happily collide in the realm of modern movies. I have long had a Denon AVR-X4300H bought in 2016 at my local Best Buy for our home theater. The 9.2 channel setup of consists of 9 speakers and 2 powered 8" subwoofers all wired into the Denon AVR. It is fantastic! I also own a Denon Home Soundbar paired with 2 Home 150s as wireless rear channels and a Denon Home powered subwoofer. When I got the TCL QM9K I knew my wife would want me to buy and try the companion Z100 speakers so I went to my local Best Buy and ordered up a pair!
Setup, which often takes about a half hour for best results with my Denon AVR took only a few minutes and is easily done via the controls and easy to follow instructions in the menu of the QMK series of TVs!
Did I just say setup takes minutes. That's it! Super fast and ridiculously easy.
I put on the 4K version of "Aquaman" and adjusted the TVs Volume to suit my taste. Per a quite web check, the TCL Z100 has the following in each speaker enclosure:
1 x Front-facing Dome Tweeter (silk membrane, 0.8 inches) for clear highs.
1 x Front-facing Midrange Driver (2 inches) for vocals and dialogue.
1 x Front/Down-firing Woofer (4 inches) dedicated to bass and low frequencies.
1 x Upward-firing Driver (angled at 15 degrees) specifically for overhead height
1 x Front-facing Midrange Driver (2 inches) for vocals and dialogue.
1 x Front/Down-firing Woofer (4 inches) dedicated to bass and low frequencies.
1 x Upward-firing Driver (angled at 15 degrees) specifically for overhead height
The results with the right film and volume settings are quite impressive! There was a LOT of rear channel sound coming from both the front firing and top/biotiin firing Z100s in high action sequences of "Aquaman". "Predator" was equally fantastic as was "Troy" and many more. Is it as impressive as my 9.2 channel set up? In a word, no. But it is without a doubt far more impressive in that it takes up pretty much 95% of the room space as the more involving and bulky 9.2 channel system. My wife is also much happier because of the downsizing in our media room!
I have had a Dolby Surround setup since they first became available in the mid-80s and Dolby Atmos has been with me since 2016. The TCL Z100s are both a great gateway to a fully multi-channel system and if you are lacking the space they provide much of the affect you are looking for and in truth you can add the TCL 100 Subwoofer and 2 more TCL Z100 speakers to the QM9K TV or you can have 3 TCL Z100 speakers and skip the subwoofer for a total of 5 (!) wireless Z100 speakers!! I may give that a go at a later time by adding the Z100 powered Subwoofer!
Highly recommended? Indeed!

I have long been a Roomba owner having bought 7 of them for myself, family and friends over the years and all of them bought at Best Buy. I have tested and tried others and for me iRobot seems to be one of, if not the best robotic vacuums and auto mopping units available today. So when it came time to upgrade the upstairs vacuum and having recently tested and now own a Roomba iRobot 405 Combo taking good care of out downstairs area I decided on the Roomba iRobot 505 Combo 505 and I can say without hesitation that it is yet another homerun by the folks at Roomba!
The vacuuming power is...well...even more POWERFUL. The LiDAR (Light Detection And Radar) and front mounted camera both work just as outstanding as the ones on our Roomba 405 Combo and while I have yet to have the Roomba iRobot 505 Combo wash the bathroom tile and the wood floors of the hallway sections of our upstairs my experience to date with the 405 Combo we have downstairs is that it will do so superbly! My Roomba j7(7550) is still running superbly keeping my daughter's home clean and it is several years old and I regularly clean and replace brushes and have only done the battery once so I know Roomba makes a quality product! I am a retired Electronics Technician so I know the importance of preventative maintenance and every Roomba I have bought has been very easy to maintain, including replacement of air filters and the vacuum bags in the home station of self-emptying models. The new application is easy to use and I simply followed the instructions to add it to my system and it has been working without any problems so far and in my estimation I won't have any problems with it getting stuck anywhere due to the LiDAR and camera. There are also front sensors mounted on the bottom to detect stairs so it won't accidentally take a tumble and I have NEVER had a Roomba fall down the stairs in all the years I have owned them. They have been outstanding in every way for us!

I purchased this for my daughter to use in home schooling her children. She grew up using Apple computers and is very comfortable with them, as am I. She has owned and used a MacBook Pro that I bought for her several years ago but I thought it was time to get her something newer.
She is so very pleased with every aspect of this new MacBook Neo. She tells me that it is much, much faster than her old MacBook Pro (which she is keeping for her children to familiarize them with the Apple OS!). It takes very little time to boot up or shut down and the speed of the new processor is amazingly fast. The screen is also bright and displays artwork, lessons and pictures perfectly with her peripherals including their older printer that she uses for printing out lessons for her children!
All in all she says it is a fantastic computer and she is thrilled to have it!

I bought this because the original I had purchased a few years ago NEVER worked right. It kept losing the feature set for the selection buttons on my '11 Mustang and I would wind up having no climate controls, steering wheels controls and more things either non-operative or completely wrong for my vehicle.
The Install Team at Best Buy San Diego did great job installing setting up this and so far I have not had any problems.
They are excellent technicians and I can't recommend the enough and would gladly give them Five Stars for their professional work. Dylan deserves a special mention as he has been a great help to me with my car stereo over the last few years.

This newest HEOS acquisition is simply outstanding! I have bought over 25 HEOS equipped products for myself and family and friends and am thoroughly familiar with the quality of Denon and Marantz audio equipment and this Amp is another reminder of why I buy Denon and Marantz from Best Buy.
I have it hooked up to a pair of Klipsch towers that I bought a couple of years ago at Best Buy and a 10" powered sub. Outstanding performance and it does all that I need in the room I installed it in.
If you have wanted to experience the ease of use that is HEOS and the quality that is Denon but want to use your own passive speaker? Buy this little beauty and be prepared to be happily satisfied.
It doesn't take up any real room and neither ads nor detracts from its surroundings. It is unobtrusive but nicely styled and I have a Marantz CD60 hooked to it and that along with HEOS streaming Amazon Music HD, SiriusXM and Pandora along with a ton of Internet Stations (currently 70 presets in my HEOS system) like the Great American Songbook out of the Netherlands, you cannot go wrong.
The recent update to HEOS has made it all even easier to use and group rooms and speakers as your system grows and it will grow because of the ease and convenience of HEOS.
I am ready to buy another HEOS Home Amp but it appears they are out so I may well buy the Marantz version. Either way I know for fact (I have used HEOS since 2016) every product from Denon/Marantz that is a part of the HEOS line will work together!

This was purchased as a present for my daughter as her iPad Mini was getting a bit long in the tooth.
I also gave one to her husband and of course I already bought one for me. That should tell you the level of confidence I have in Apple's iPad.
Like my own iPad, this one is (per my daughter) F A S T!! I also gave her the Apple Pen (Gen. 1) and she is using to teach her daughter to write!
My daughter is more than pleased with the performance, the applications that immediately transferred over from her old iPad Mini and the quality of the screen. And it is fast! Much faster than her iPad Mini was!
The battery lasts a very long time and she said it will go for several days and still have plenty of charge left. Because it is used by her daughter, I bought a cover for it. iPads are durable but a year old can test their limits so it is best to be safe!
As I said, I have bought 3 of these in the last six months and all from Best Buy! Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'!

I got this for my son-in-law as he and our daughter and their 3 young children live in a town home and space is at a premium.
In a word they tell me that this grill is - FANTASTIC!
I have been told that it heats ups FAST and cooks quickly and evenly. It is easy to use, easy to clean and very easy to store when you are done using it!
It is perfect for up for a small family especially so with little ones! They previously had a large BBQ and there just wasn't enough room to be able to use and store it so they brought it over to my home and my wife and I use it instead.
They missed having a grill so I bought this for them and it has been nothing short of one of the best presents I have given to them!

Other than a weird " mosaic" look to some black areas on the screen the picture is great. But..
I absolutely HATE that this TV with my Denon AVR-X4300H. My previous TV didn't have the Denon turn on automatically when I turned on the TV and then drive me NUTSO by trying to upset me (and it does!) by going through and turning on every source connected but never the one I want which is usually nothing at all.
I HATE that and I know it's the new TV because the previous one didn't do that. Hisense? Help!
I have unplugged all sources to stop this but then when I want to watch a UHD Disc I have to get back there and plug it back in. I am handicapped and this really sucks. I've looked and cannot find why this TV does this so I am hoping Hisense and make some sense of this and tell me where to turn it OFF!!!!
Again, I absolutely HATE this "feature" of turning on media sources and being a handicapped senior I am about to give up and throw this piece in the trash!

I would very much appreciate it if you could help me with the TV I bought. The Hisense U8 65". Not a peep has been heard or read on what to do about my problem with the TV.
I see 2 idiots said my review wasn't helpful? It was TRUTHFUL and if you cannot handle the truth not my problem. If I don't hear from Hisense this thing goes back under warranty.

Hisense? Nonsense. Still waiting to hear from the manufacturer. Other folks are not experiencing this so I THINK it is just my TV and one would THINK Hisense would help but to date one freakin' email saying I would hear from them and I have not. FTN.

Other than a weird " mosaic" look to some black areas on the screen the picture is great. But..
I absolutely HATE that this TV with my Denon AVR-X4300H. My previous TV didn't have the Denon turn on automatically when I turned on the TV and then drive me NUTSO by trying to upset me (and it does!) by going through and turning on every source connected but never the one I want which is usually nothing at all.
I HATE that and I know it's the new TV because the previous one didn't do that. Hisense? Help!
I have unplugged all sources to stop this but then when I want to watch a UHD Disc I have to get back there and plug it back in. I am handicapped and this really sucks. I've looked and cannot find why this TV does this so I am hoping Hisense and make some sense of this and tell me where to turn it OFF!!!!
Again, I absolutely HATE this "feature" of turning on media sources and being a handicapped senior I am about to give up and throw this piece in the trash!

I fixed the "mosaic" effect that plagued deep black backgrounds. Now the picture is at last, SUPERB! Even after turning off the HDMI feature that seeks out and turns on associated equipment it still does just that. So...I just keep turning them off until it finally gives up. I never heard from Hisense and I am disappointed with that aspect but I would not give the TV 5 Stars for its overall performance.
And no! This reviewer DOES NOT RECALL EVER HAVING received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pusillanimous out there need to realize that not every review I do will not reveal a genuine problem.

This purchase has been a NIGHTMARE! LG has left us with a dead unit for several months now and this after I spent several thousands of dollars on their Studio line of Kitchen appliances for our home. An oven. A dishwasher. A refrigerator and this piece of garbage Range Hood.
The hood has not worked in MONTHS and LG does nothing but give us the runaround. I have jumped through their hoops like a trained dog at a circus! Their customer service is TERRIBLE. There are supposedly 120 of the Range Hoods in LG's warehouse and yet they cannot get one to me?
Now they want me to remove the Serial Number/Model Number sticker from the hood and cut it in half and take a picture of it and send it to them. I have sent them photos of said sticker. I have sent the photos of the receipt that I actually bought this from Best Buy (several times I have sent this!) and they do NOTHING!
Their customer service center is useless as NOTHING is done by them. I have asked for help from "management" and it is promised and then...NOTHING is done by them.
They keep ignoring me across the board and one supposes it is their hope that I will give up. I am NOT giving up!
LG treats their customers as if they are lying. We have had multiple LG Technicians out to fix this thing and after the 4th time failing to do so, the Techs were told "No RA is authorized!" They are treating me like crap. LG's customer service is non-existent.

LG Studio Range Hood UPDATE!

I would very much like to commend two Best Buy Employees that helped us with out problem with LG and our Studio Range Hood. With the kind assistance and hard work of Bailey and Jenny our non-functioning for months Range Hood was replaced by Best Buy. I have nothing but praise for these two women and Best Buy. LG treated us poorly but when I contacted Jenny and Bailey they went to work right away and after waiting months for LG to do nothing but ignore us, they had set up a date for the defective unit to be removed and a new, fully functioning Studio Range Hood installed!
I always purchase my electronics, appliances and more from Best Buy. I have been doing so for decades now and Best Buy has always be wonderful to us. LG on the other hand ignored me for months on a product that was brand new. I am and will continue to be a Best Buy Total Tech Member and customer because of Jenny and Bailey as well as everyone I have come to know over the years at the Best Buy locations I use (Chula Vista and San Diego) because they have always been very helpful.
If I could amend my review to show 5 ***** STARS right now, I would have done so and all because of Best Buy's excellent people. I originally purchased (all from LG's Studio Collection) the Range Hood, an Oven, Dishwasher and my favorite, a side by side refrigerator with 2 ice makers and a pull out lower freezer with help from Jenny and her staff. She has been a tremendous help on this as has Bailey and I cannot express my gratitude enough to Best Buy for these two wonderful people. They worked as the perfect team to help us get our defective Range Hood replaced quickly and professionally.
The new unit works as advertised which is all anyone could ask of a product. Thank you Jenny and Bailey and thank you Best Buy for having them there to help my wife and I.

[Employee of bestbuy] The amplifier has enough wattage to drive practically any speaker, including my Bowers & Wilkins 704 s3 towers and my Martin Logan Motion 15i bookshelf speakers. I have this plugged permanently into my office production PC, running a 2.1 system with the virtual sound mode helping to fill the entire room with sound. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the reliance on the Heos app (which cannot be installed onto a PC or TV), and lack of physical controls on the device past play/pause, forward and backwards. Lack of volume control, input select, etc without either your phone or your tv remote mean you're reliant on your portable devices to control it. Not a huge deal for a STREAMING amp, as you probably will be working around that anyways, but it is annoying nonetheless.

HEOS is SUPERB and user friendly!

There is a volume control on the front of the M1. There are also "PLAY" and "PAUSE" controls on the front of the M1. As for the HEOS applicatiom? I find it easy and rather intuitive, at lease once you have familiarized yourself with it. There was a recent update to this application that makes grouping speakers/rooms easier than before. I went over it via telephone with my sister-in-law and she is thrilled with this aspect of the new features.
I have owned HEOS equipment since 2016 and it is without a doubt the easiest interface for home audio I have yet used. When I retired I bought with my own money 20 HEOS speakers from my local Best Buy to use at home as well as give to friends and family. They were the Home 150 and Home 250 models. HEOS works. I gave a set to a friend in her 80s and she can use it with ease and is so happy that she can now listen to music from Italy (she is fluent in Italian!).
No application is completely without annoyances but that is why there are updates and to date Denon/Marantz have been doing just that with this application. Denon HEOS speakers since the 2nd Generation are all High Resolution capable. In other words, they are far more capable of playing at bit rates and frequencies than the human ear can detect. I have 2nd gen speakers along with the newest Home series throughout our home. Even in my garage for my home gym! I will soon be giving five friends of mine each a Home 150 (no charge!) and I will set it up and show them how to navigate just as I did with my friend in her 80s. Why? Because I can. I want people to experience the soundtrack of their life with HEOS in their home. HEOS does not require that you have a HEOS equipped AVR (tho' I own and use 2 of them in our home!).
I never lie. It just works and works just fine! It is "Roon" ready if that is your cup o' tea. I tried it for over 2 months and did not find Roon at all useful to ME but that does not mean it will not be useful to others! I don't need Roon to help me hit "PLAY" or "RANDOM PLAY", LOL! I can easily play my CD collection via HEOS anywhere in our home that has a HEOS speaker. The same is true of my 20,000+ songs on any of my computers! I can also play vinyl records the same way, although I must admit it is not as good sounding as CDs or streaming but that is to be expected as the source is vinyl. Any that think I need a better turntable should know that I have a Pro-Ject X Series in walnut that I bought at Best Buy. The 'table is fantastic but the medium via WiFi is not as nice as it is directly played, if you will.
I wrote this to help people learn about HEOS. It really is fantastic and easy to use! I highly recommend it to everyone that just wants to enjoy their music anywhere in the home. I just bought a Denon Home Amp for use with a pair of towers in the garage gym and next will be a Marantz Model M1 for some seasoned citizen friends of mine in their living room at their home with their speakers! HEOS is that easy!

Do I need any other hardware to use with SiriusXM? Does it have the satellite tuner built in?
Not it doesn't have a built-in SiriusXM tuner. You can buy one and have it installed at the same time. I just use my portable with a dock and it's hooked to an input on the unit. That or use the SiriusXM Android App on your phone if you have it.

Maybe. Maybe not. Mine sometimes works (rare) but usually doesn't. Very fristrating but now I am told it may be because I have a Motorola Android Phone.

Oddly enough, I had to LOG OUT of my BB account to ask a question... I have this unit and today I may take it back. I have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting it to make a freaking phone call or receive a text. Kenwood? Do I NEED TO SPEND MORE?
To the Kenwood exper - I have an appointment with BB Car Installation on Jan. 11, 2020. I went there last weekend and the problem persisted in front of three technicians so hopefully they will just install a new unit that works. My phone works just fine in my 2018 Dodge Ram with Android Auto so I too think it is a faulty radio. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Where is the serial number on the ACC1200?
It should be located on a sticker on the unit. Said sticker should also have the password and the MAC address on there. Just make certain to look for "Serial No.", "SN" or some such identifying nomenclature. Hope this helps! Thx!

Would it be beneficial to use more than one extender? What if I were to put a couple upstairs and a couple more downstairs?
I myself use two of these at different locations of our home. They work great and as I said in answering another question, if you have a device that is not WiFi capable but it has an RJ45 input jack, you can simply run a Cat5 or Cat6 cable directly from one of the RJ45 output jacks on the extender to the device and it will work just fine! Will this help extend the signal for all my ring cameras
If you search for this particular extender and then enter the password it should do just what you need. Remember to look for the name of your original WiFi router with an _2GEXT or an _5GEXT after it. If your device sees both, choose the one with the best signal strength accordingly matched to everything else in your setup.

Can this handle the new fiber 200gb speed internet i have from metronet
I don't have the specs in front of me but I think the unit is "only" Gigbit capable. My fastest is a mere 400 to 500 mbps via wireless. It's more than sufficient for me but your needs may require more. :-) If you need 200 megabits per second vs 200 gigabits per second (it may have been a typo on your part?) you should be fine with this extender.

I have everything hooked up, the green light is on the Netgear device. However, when I now go to my laptop to connect the wifi, it doesn't except the password that I use for my original wifi (Belkin) router. So, what am I to enter as the password?
If you have a 2.5 and 5 gig system make certain both indicator lights are green. No then, if you are using your original (Belkin) wireless router and haven't changed that password, it should still work. Check that router to see if you are using the right password (it's usually on the side or bottom of the router) as I have often forgotten it and had to go back and look to make certain I was entering it correctly. Another thing you can do if whatever you are trying to connect is close to the new Netgear device is to simply hardwire it via a short Cat5 or Cat6 cable via one of the ports on the Netgear to the network RJ45 input (provided said device has one) on the device you want to join your network. That's just one reason I bought this Netgear extender, because not all my stuff is wireless and this extended allows me to run a Cat5/6 right to such devices. . I did this with one of my devices and it works great! All the best!
