I hate that everything is moving to a subscription based payment scheme. It’s nothing more than a way to take more money constantly for a product that should only need to be purchased once. But this was thrown in as a freebie. If you have an affiliation with a company or school they usually give you free access as long as you’re affiliated, but once you graduate or leave the access is revoked. There are also free options but Microsoft is so widely utilized that it just becomes an annoyance not to have it. I hope they just keep giving out little freebies like this.

This is a highly rated modem for fast speeds. We’ve had zero issues with slow down or bandwidth. If you only have a basic internet package though, you don’t need this model as a cheaper version would work just as well.
