This is said to be the definitive edition. The pace seems to have picked up from the theatrical - although there is still that long airport scene that could have been shortened. Pacino is near over-the-top, and a lot of fun to watch. the film as a whole is a great crime thriller and has risen to cult status. Worth adding to the library.

This may be the best Halloween sequel. It does have its moments of unnecessary sophomoric humor and a couple oxeye rolling scenes. But, it pretty much is a good shot in the arm for fans. 4K probably works best since the dark scenes.

The Final Cut 4K Perhaps the Best

It feels like I've seen so many iterations of Ridley Scott's, "Blade Runner," it's hard to keep up what I prefer. This supposedly "Final Cut" may represent Scott's vision best. The pacing appears to be a bit tighter, but it will not win over the naysayers.
What makes this new version so worthwhile is the 4K presentation. Forget the complaints of grain or even smoothing of certain images. This "Blade Runner" has never looked better, and nearly matches the reference quality made by the recent 4K version of "2001: a space odyssey." This is well worth the double dip.

OMG! I cannot believe the picture on this 4K version. It looks like a brand new film. The sound is incredibly immersive. It's truly a sight to behold. Extras are priceless and package design is definitely a collectible. The best 4K presentation I have seen so far, and for once in the correct picture aspect ratio.
Don't know why it is so hard to find in stores. Keeps selling out everywhere. I got lucky with only two left when I got to Best Buy.

What is so great about this 4K version is that it supplies us with both Ridley Scott's original theatrical cut (which he appears to prefer), and an extended version with more battle scenes supplied by the studio. The 4K supplies a brilliant picture and sound. Worth the price.

Marred Classic Can Be Fixed

I've given this 3 stars due to the problem of the disc being out of synch. Like watching a foreign film with bad dubbing. I don't know if this was a bad batch of Blu-rays that Best Buy received or if the whole release was like this. But, it is fixable for some. On my Samsung 4K player, I was able to go into the sound mode and switch the synch from 0 to 250 and it worked. This is more of an annoyance than anything else. But, the price at $5.99 was hard to beat. The film itself still holds up along with all the players. Although, some may find Allen hard to watch after some of the stories that have been released. Of course, they are all alleged and nothing has been proven. Other than that, one of Allen's best films.

The Apartment is classic Billy Wilder only enhanced by the performances of Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, and Fred MacMurray. Yes, it is dated by today's standards, but it is a classic of its time and winner of Best Picture. Picture and sound quality a far better than the previous DVD. Unless you want to buy a hefty price for the Olive Films release, this is the next best thing.
