SERENITY SOARS IN 4K

SERENITY has always been one of my favorite sci-fi classics totwatch over and over, and now that it's in 4K, the clarity of the film is even more stunning. Now there's going to be 8K. I figured so with the drop in 4K television prices. Are we gonna have 8K DVDs now? I am fomring a love hate relationship with ULED....OH WELL!

I purchased OUARTET because I am an avid Merchant-Ivory film fan; however, it is certainly not among their greatest period pieces. I found the plot mediocre, but remarkable performances by Isabelle Adjani and Maggie Smith, but Alan Bates seemed nit at his usual best. Beautifully filmed, lovely film score and the usual skilled cinematography, I rate QUARTET a minor classic, and not a masterpiece, yet it belongs in my film collection. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to a friend, but if my friend is a Merchant-Ivory fan and hasn't seen the movie, I'd recommend the film rented. If my friend enjoyed it, then it could be purchased, Enough said about QUARTET.

Knowing next season will be the Modern Family finale fills me with some sadness, as I have enjoyed revisiting episodes from many past seasons and relishing their fun and the reality of great comic writing, poignant performances and detailed attention to the years that pass in the luives of all three families. The series endures so beautifully.
Good writing is at the core of Modern Family's success. Honest attention to the lives of evey character is so heartwarming. At times the gay couple seem stereotyped, but nonetheless there is great fun without diminishing their appeal. I like that gay parenting is so much a part of this comedy, and that a marriage of older-younger survives. There is always good common advice learned in each episode.
Bravo MODERN FAMILY. I will anticipate and shed tears when Season 11 brings this wonderful series to an end.

A wonderful heart breaker and triumph of love, trust and the strength of lasting friendship contribute to the survival and reality of carrying on, even though the quartet has had to change players.

Absurd, unrealistic, abd totally off the wall best describes the comedy-drama mayhem, Seven Psychopaths.
With a cast of great actors in performances that outdo the other, one is never bored, and what fun to expect the next surprise, which is film is full of them for certain.
Nothing ever makes real sense, but who cares, since this grisly comedy drama delights by making every effort to entertain you and satisfy your taste for the criminally insane.

ALL IS TRUE is a warmhearted, passionate look at the final three years of William Shakespeare's life as researched and directed and starred in by Kenneth Branagh. Judy Dench, and Ian McKellan, almost a cameo, are as beautifully performed as Branagh's performance of the Bard.
This is a wonderful film, and whether or not it's in actuality, it makes little difference. The world knows so little of Shakespeare's final three years.
That said, sit back and enjoy this incredible piece of vintage cinema.

Not the best 3D, yet GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS remains spectacular, and this version is overrun with more monsters than humankind can possibly handle????
The premise here may be wholly absurd, with Godzilla being a good monster, and others being bad monsters. All is rather confusing, but if lots of action is what you are looking for, this film won't disappoint.
Pure excessive monster action, glorious color special effects, and very much like all previous Godzilla movies...unbelievability!
After all, Godzilla is awesome , and he is the greatest of all movie monsters,
