This is the PlayStation 2 classic shadows of the colossus rebuilt from the ground up but staying 99% true to the original. You wouldn’t know it was rebuilt except for quality of life improvements. If you’ve played the original or the remaster on PlayStation 3, this is the same game just even prettier. As for the game itself, it is a must play experience. Very little speech or text. It is you, your horse, a lush land inhabited by 16 collosus which you must seek out and destroy for your own reasons. The exciting action from this game comes from uncovering the colossus and learning how to board and climb them, scaling your way all around there frame to find their weak spots. Very serene and simple game with a good sense of accomplishment.

The game is difficult to describe. It is about androids and robots and humans and tries to convey meaning of life story to you. This is done by playing the storyline three times in total from a different view of a different character each time. The areas will be the same but the story missions will change. It has heavy notes of third person Japanese action/RPG games. It plays with a lot of gameplay ideas such as horizontal and side scrolling shooter sections and third person Devil May cry/god of war main gameplay. Sounds really cool but it never goes too deep on any of those fronts. An odd game, a pretty decent game, a very subjective game. It has a big following, have to play it for yourself to see if you enjoy. Definitely not for a casual gamer.

Rockstar’s newest game demonstrates the power of lifelike setting and outlaw adventures in a fictitious wild west. Along with more realism comes tedious elements which makes the game very immersing and lifelike, but in exchange slow down the game play. Onimusha is a classic Capcom game from the PlayStation 2. It is much like a samurai themed resident evil with demons, but with faster action and mobility and less puzzles. It has fixed camera and static backgrounds like RE. Campaign is around six hours long. Great game.
