I really like this headset. I’ve been using the Plantronic Rig 800’s; which I really enjoy, but I wanted mic monitoring. Overall I like this headset better. The sound is cleaner - especially at high volumes. No distortion at all like the rigs had. Mic monitoring is amazing and my buddies say they can hear me really well. Comfort is good, but not as good as the rigs. I can wear them for a few hours and not be bothered, so I can’t complain.
Overall a really nice headset with good features.

Pretty Great for the Price

For the $25 sale price, I imagine these would be really hard to top. I use Plantronics Rig 800's as my main Xbox Headset, but wanted something for those times I forget to charge them and they die mid game.
In comparison, I think the bass is cleaner and tighter on these, but the mids and highs aren't as nice. Comfort wise these took me a little while to get used to. The ear cup material is not plush by any means, but also is not the worst I have used. The mic is actually pretty amazing - my friends tell me I sound crystal clear to them and I like the flip to mute and mic monitoring.
Although they are a little cheap feeling, I would say I am not worried at all that they will break.
Overall I am certain I would have been happy with these at their retail price.

Great for my setup

Managed to snag an open box, excellent for $216 and am extremely happy with it.
Using this for a secondary 5.1 setup in my basement. Upgraded from a 9 year old Pioneer receiver I had been using. Used the included mic to set everything up and I feel the sound difference is stark from where I was - all without adjusting anything. I did end up making a couple adjustments, but the effort was minimal relative to my old receiver. I am now able to bi-amp the fronts and I feel this adds to the overall output of the high notes. Also noticed a bump in the sound of my subwoofer. It sounds cleaner and louder than before. Overall I think the sound and effects of the surround sound are really nice.
The 4K video passthrough (both when the receiver is on and off) is so much better than the 1080 I had been using. I watch everything through a Roku and was finally able to set it to 4K and had no idea how bad the 1080 was until I did so. I had upgraded my TV earlier this year and didn't realize how much nicer it was than my old TV until I got this receiver. I knew it would be better, just couldn't upgrade everything all at once.
Lastly, there are plenty of inputs for my needs and also has a lot of features I will not use anytime soon. I expect this to be future proof enough to last another 9 years like my last receiver!
