Geek Squad came to our rescue once again when we took my wife's ailing 9-yo HP lap to the BB store to see if it could be saved. Diagnosis: hard drive is failing. So a salesperson came to our rescue and wife bought a Dell laptop with nearly all the features she needs. We left it and GS transferred the data and loaded the new software. It was ready in only 2 days. We left very happy with this purchase. Strongly recommend GS Premium Service!
This case features interior padding to protect your GPS from scratches, smudges and smears and a tear-resistant hard shell exterior to ensure durability.

This hard body case is perfect if you travel with your GPS and are renting a vehicle at your destination city. It has a couple of compartments inside that can be used for small items, such as the wire that connects the device to your computer. When I used to travel doing environmental work literally everywhere, I'd always program addresses for the site, motel, and airport, and other locations, like the FedX location nearest the jobsite (for the environmental samples). I sure wish I had had a case like this for all those occasions...i had a soft case and always worried about what sort of delays I'd have if the unit was somehow destroyed in my luggage.

Every car dash is different, and I saw this same fixture in use in my adult daughter's Toyota van. I immediately knew it would be the perfect solution for my car, a 2013 Subaru Outback. It was. No glue to spoil your dash. It's weighted so the stand stabilizes my Garmin so well I don't have to worry about sliding and separation. Works perfect if you have a wide, deep place in the middle of your dash.

So far (one week), it's great. I spent over a year gathering information on dash and rear view camera systems. I picked the Cobra brand about halfway through the process. Then I had to wait for the right sale to come along to match with my resources. My car is a 2013 Subaru Outback, but it doesn't have the highest level of trim and gadgets that all modern cars have. Last year I added a rear backup camera that displays on my rear view mirror. The Garmin GPS sits on a flat place on the dashboard. The Cobra screen attaches to the inside of the windshield so that's easily visible from the driving position. With all these "instruments" it would seem I'd be distracted from my main job, driving, but I've easily coped. Have to admit, I haven't had time to mate it to my computer using the mating cord supplied with the unit...but the literature that came with the unit says you can turn on Lane Departure and Front Collision Warning. These features really sold the device to me. Plus, the unit will continuously record what's ahead and behind you. Needless to say, this feature is a necessity when driving in the area where I live..to many crazies out there. I think I was all in at about $280 all in, including tax and installation. No installation kit required with this unit, all the parts and pieces are included with the unit. What's your insurance deductible?
Have your new dash camera installed neatly, reliably and professionally by a Geek Squad Autotech. Standard installation doesn~t include vehicle-specific parts or accessories. For dash camera installation, the cost of parts will vary. Such parts and any additional parts or extensive labor are extra. Your Geek Squad Autotech will provide an estimate prior to performing work that requires an additional charge (including nonstandard installation) and any additional parts. Any additional charges will be assessed after the installation is complete. For additional installation information for your vehicle, find a store with an installation center and speak with a Geek Squad Autotech.

My installer (Joshua C.) was extremely courteous, walked me through what he'd be doing, that all the parts and pieces were included with my unit (Cobra), and that it would take around 1.5 hours, give or take a few minutes. He informed me of 2 waiting areas in the store, both near restrooms, and said he'd call my cell if he needed me. An hour and 5 minutes he called to say the installation was finished and I could come to the service area and pick my car up. He gave me a brief tutorial on how the device operated, and that more info could be obtained online when I registered the device. I drove away happy with this installation. The service technician was the highlight of this installation. I can highly recommend the BB installation service.

My older Series 49 Garman GPS just not getting the job done...annual downloads on $89 per...just needed an upgrade. This one really filled all my requirements: free lifetime updates, roadside info on restaurants, gasoline stations, restrooms, and points of interest, larger, brighter display, I could go on. One thing you need to know about the modern Garmins...to register your gps unit, you must connect it to your computer. The tutorial is an optional part of this process, but I opted to spin thru it. It took me an over an hour to do this, but I certainly learned a lot about what the unit can do. I'm very pleased with this unit (incidentally my 3rd, all Garmin) in terms of it's capabilities, visibility, and the lifetime free updates.
