Pleasantly surprised - maybe I was lucky..

Cosmetically, the console looks almost brand-new - there was a single fingerprint near the power button that wiped off immediately. Zero scratches near any USB (front or back), none near the HDMI, etc. I popped off the top to see if the warranty sticker was there and it was, so I'm guessing this wasn't ever opened (so "refurbished" I guess means "open-box like-new").
Same with the controller - other than one really minor scuff on the back (looks like from just sitting the controller on something), it looks and functions like new; no drift, buttons all work, etc.
Powered up fine, had actually been reset so went through the setup process and again, no issues. Logged in and immediately needed to do an update (firmware was from August '24), but while doing the setup I installed Horizon Adventures, which was read and installed fine.
We've been playing for ~an hour now and there hasn't been anything to indicate problems w/ overheating, disc-drive errors, etc.
All in - I bought this thinking almost 100% I'd be sent garbage and have to return it, but I'm pleasantly surprised and definitely keeping.

Awful menu, headphone audio muffled, locked aspect

I wanted to love this thing. Bought it to have a Series S on the left, work laptop on the right.
The screen looks good - here's are the problems.
1.) If I have laptop on right, game on left, and turn off game, the menu locks me into selecting an input and won't allow you to switch back to single screen. So I'm forced to double up the laptop, then go into the menu and turn off the other scree.
2.) Headphone out - my plan was to have all audio route through the monitor, then out to speakers. Nope - if you do this the monitor just strips out the base. No setting adjustment helps; does this across PS5, Xbox Series S, and Laptop.
3.) Aspect ratio - this one also baffles. When you do split screen, instead of the monitor stretching the image to fit (the laptop in this case), it just scales it down to a bizarre widescreen, but tiny, monitor.

Neither functions correctly - the washer can't spin anything unless its 100% perfectly balanced.
This dryer.... good lord. Is your sock slightly more damp than just damp? Good luck - it will turn on for five minutes, then ascertain through it's brilliant programming that what you are attempting to dry is actually "Dry".
It's not. Also, the "Manual" setting... where it should just, you know, allow you to "manually" set a time to dry? Yeah, that also doesn't work. 1 Hour drying time, you say? Here's 3 minutes a 9 seconds. Good luck.
I've bought nothing but Samsung appliances for 20 years. I'll never buy another.

Fantastic sound, but HDMI Arc just does not work.

Purchased this 2 times. Both times, I was completely unable to get sound from the soundbar using ARC.
I tried this on a Hisense, a Samsung, and a Silo-branded TV. All would see the soundbar, show a prompt that they were changing the audio on the external speakers, but no volume would come through.
It's a shame - the thing sounds absolutely fantastic and has a ton of bass, but I need ARC. Both were returned; I went w/ a Yamaha 2.1 soundbar for downstairs and the Klipsche 400 for upstairs. Both were literally plug and play.
