Will this protect my TV, etc when using it with a generator?
If you are wanting to protect your TV and use a generator I would recommend buying a APC UPS. This will keep your equipment powered on with an included battery while waiting on the generator to take over. Be sure to get in with enough wattage to cover all equipment plugged into it.
I would recommend a 1500VA UPS for many home theater setups, but ask a professional when selecting one in case your requirements are higher.
Also invest in some 1ft long extension cables. It makes plugging in power bricks easier.
