Incredible special effects, interesting story

I thought this might be another boring sci fi movie, but I was fascinated by the overall quality of the production. It is based on a post apocalyptic world where cities have become gigantic mobile devices that cannibalize other weaker or slower mobile communities for fuel and survival. The acting is actually good. The special effects are outstanding. It’s a movie I’ve watched several times because I like it. I think the movie is much better than the impression of the movie you get from the trailers. Obviously not everyone will like it, but I think it’s interesting entertainment and I’d recommend it to my friends.

I love my Keurig single cup coffee maker. I bought my first one in 2013, and it still works flawlessly. It’s still mind boggling to see how fast you can have a fresh cup of coffee anytime you want it. Or tea, hot chocolate, Chai Latte, etc.
This one was bought as a gift, and my friends love it. The increased expense of coffee in a K-cup is offset by the lack of wastage and the great taste of “freshly brewed.” The selection of coffee and teas is quite extensive. Best Buy frequently has K-cups on their “deal of the day,” and that’s when I frequently stock up.
There is very little maintenance required for a Keurig. It’s always best to start with good water. The machine has a cleaning function which removes lime scale. I only do this a couple of times a year. Keurig makes a special cleaner for their coffee makers, but you can also use a dilute vinegar mixture. The K-cup holder may need cleaning periodically. Aside from occasionally cleaning the water reservoir and dusting the surface, there’s not much else to do.
I haven’t met anyone who wasn’t happy they bought a Keurig. I certainly am!

The Sony WH-CH700N wireless headphones were exactly what I wanted. When they were on sale Best Buy for essentially half price, I couldn’t resist buying them. They are very comfortable and sound great. And yes, they do cancel out a substantial amount of background noise if you enable that feature. The sound quality is excellent. They have a phenomenal battery life of around 18 hours on a full charge. I had no difficulty pairing them with my iPhone, iPad, and home TV (with Bluetooth transmitter). There is absolutely nothing negative for me to say about these. However, if you want to wear them outdoors and you sweat a lot, your sweat might cause premature deterioration of the ear cuffs. I use an in-ear Bluetooth headphone when I’m outdoors and sweating.
I’ve seen a few reviews that questioned their noise canceling properties. They certainly reduce ambient noise considerably when that feature is enabled, but they do not totally cancel out all ambient noise. I’m not sure if any headphones are capable of canceling all ambient noise. So don’t equate “noise canceling” with 100% silence. Also, they come with a special app for fine tuning the sound quality. Be sure to read your instructions so you understand all of the features of these remarkable headphones. I would say they are not a great bargain if you pay full retail price. However, if you can catch them on sale for 50% off, grab them !!

I’ve had several Honeywell air cleaners in the past, and have had an excellent experience with all of them. Earlier bottles were often round and either set horizontally or vertically to the fan mechanism. This one is designed more like a tower. I love the finger touch controls, and the ability to select a time off after two, four, six, or eight hours. I especially like fan noise at night to help drown out outside sounds, so I sleep with the fan in the turbo mode. It does a great job of circulating the air in the room, and blocking barking dogs, which seem to be abundant in my neighborhood. I don’t really have allergies, so I can’t comment on its effectiveness for removing allergens. However, the three separate pleated HEPA filters look like they should be effective in removing small particles. The shape of this air cleaner fits into my living room and bedroom conveniently, and the black color makes it less obvious. It comes with extra charcoal pre-filters, which capture a lot of the general household dust floating in the air. You can periodically clean the dust from the prefilters with a good vacuum cleaner, and reuse them. About two weeks after buying the first unit, Best Buy had them on their deal of the day special again, and I decided to pick up one more for another room. By making various levels of white noise, these air cleaners are a tremendous aid to helping me get a good nights sleep. Since I’ve only had them for one and two months, I can’t comment on their durability. However my older Honeywell air cleaners all are still going well.

I bought this to try to receive broadcasts that are approximately 60-70 miles away. This antenna did not work at all at my house. However, I gave it to some friends who live in a suburb of DFW, and they were able to pull in essentially every local station with no pixelization. And they did not have to hook up the signal booster. I was hoping my hilltop location would give me an advantage with this antenna, but I guess the distance was just too far. Based on what my friends in Keller Texas have told me, this does an excellent job there. It does seem to be well-made and comes with all the mounting hardware you need.

I bought this for having the convenience of a surge protector hidden in the wall. It is more of an off white then ivory color. I had no problem installing it in a standard electrical box. I’m not sure how I would test it to be sure it’s functional, but I have to assume it is. I live in a smaller town that has a fair number of power outages. It’s not uncommon for electronics here to get damaged by power surges.

I’ve been buying these alkaline batteries for almost a decade. I can’t tell any performance difference between these batteries and the two leading brands, but there is certainly a price difference. I’ve never had one leak and ruin a device. If you want a good battery and don’t want to throw your money away, I think you’ll be completely satisfied with this brand. If you can make your purchase when they are on sale, or a deal of the day, you can really rack up on savings.

Can I use this with my Roku streaming device
You can use both, but they work entirely differently. The antenna picks up local free high definition broadcasts and you need to set the input on your TV to antenna. The antenna has no benefit to your Roku device, which I presume is connected to your WIFI. The Roku stick probably inputs through your HDMI port. So YES, you can use both. But neither benefits the other, except you’ll have free local TV broadcasts
