Peter Yates directs the early '70s comedy caper The Hot Rock, based on the Donald Westlake novel and adapted for the screen by William Goldman. Robert Redford stars as John Archibald Dortmunder, a former jewel thief just released from prison. His brother in law, Andrew Kelp (George Segal), recruits him to steal a diamond from a museum. They are hired by Dr. Amusa (Moses Gunn), an ambassador from Central Fatawi, whose people consider the stone to be sacred. John and Andrew assemble a team with Alan Greenberg (Paul Sand) and Stan Murch (Ron Leibman). They successfully pull off the job until the guards arrest them and Alan swallows the diamond. Alan's father (Zero Mostel) helps him break out of jail, which leads to a series of other heist attempts.

Starring Ed Harris, The Abyss follows a crew of scientists as they descend to unprecedented depths in the ocean. After pursuing a mysterious glowing light, they make an unbelievable discovery. Included on this DVD are both the new extended version and the original truncated cut, both in widescreen, offering viewers the chance to make their own conclusions about which is the superior film. The soundtrack comes in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and subtitles are provided in English and Spanish. Along with the feature presentation, the disc includes a DVD-ROM script and storyboard-to-screen comparison. A double-disc Special Edition is also available as is a full-screen version of this single-disc package.

Worked great out of the box, then a few days later started hesitating/freezing on the wi-fi. Resetting by unplugging gave a temporary fix, but it would freeze and require unplugging to do anything after the 15 day Best Buy return limit. LG was very apologetic and offered a full refund with a copy of the receipt and the removed ID labels on the back. I am seriously thinking about going with something like a fire stick for the wi-fi and a separate, cheaper non-wifi player. That way each function is separate and does not shut the whole system down for repairs. When it worked it was fast and functional. Service was excellent under the circumstances.

Boots up faster than the old one. The upscale feature is great. Hard to tell the difference between dvd & blueray. Has a power-on led. Has frozen a couple times requiring pulling power, then restart was fine, hence the 4 star rating. Warning, the best buy extended warranty is a one time fix no matter the claimed time length of coverage. remote power seems lower than others requiring direct contact of the beam rather than the typical reflection for other devices.
