This is a nice device especially if you have a lower storage Ipad or Iphone. It will allow you to transfer document or pictures off of those devices to move or just to store. This is great for those who dont feel comfortable with cloud storage. Also when you want to got "old school" and have a picture printed out you dont have to plug your phone into one of those picture printing machines.

I works great for controlling my hue lights without a hue bridge it also works great for controlling motion sensor by samsung as well. This allow my to make some nice automations.

It doesn't have a camera which is fine for us but for some its a bummer if they want to do a video call with google duo. (Lenovo has it or the Nest hub max.. and a price to go with it)

The strip lights are nice and bright however they are kind of pricey which can deal breaker to some. I like that you can control individual sections of the light. They come in 3.3ft sections which is nice so you dont have to cut them hopefully. Just need to good to see if they have and extention connection so you can use the sections in different places.

This version has the advantage of not having to be hardwired into you router however you lose the battery back of feature. Smarthings platform is good especially if you are just a little bit further than just starting your smart home. It has other protocols (zigbee, zwave) so you won't have to put a ton of things on your wifi network.
