Yes depending on your device. With my Apple device I needed a Apple DV cable and it works perfect to play Netflix and other streaming video. On Android or laptop it would only broadcast a black screen. But YouTube would play fine. Not sure what cable you need for those devices. How this helps.

Can you use a firestick and hook this up to a soundbar at the same time? Either through Bluetooth or the optical cable?
You need to purchase a HDMI audio extractor. I found one on Amazon for $24.99. once you get that you can hook up your speakers via cable not Bluetooth. You would think this projector would have a audio out but it does not so you need the audio extractor. Hope this helps.

Is this projector compatible with Netflix and prime video?
It is but it depends. For me, I have a Apple iPhone & iPad. You need the DV cable that plugs from your apple to a HDMI then to projector. Also, if you plan to run external speakers you need to also purchase a HDMI audio extractor. You can find that on Amazon. Once you get all that your projector will be a awesome audio/video system. Hope this helps.
