In a world where Brooklyn teen Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) got that fateful radioactive spider bite-and the mantle of Spider-Man-the use of a particle accelerator by the Kingpin (Liev Schreiber) is causing existence to fissure. As alternate-dimension Spideys like Peter Parker (Jake Johnson), Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage), and Spider-Ham (John Mulaney) pile into his reality, can they help Miles undo the chaos? Oscar-winning animated effort also stars the voices of Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry. 117 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

This movie has amazing visuals which is astounding because it's an animated film. Probably the best Spiderman movie (though I really like Homecoming a lot).

Another great Marvel movie

This second Avengers movie does a great job of giving each of the heroes something to do and a relevance to the story.
Stark and Banner as mad scientists works really well and sets up Captain America: Civil War's moral dilemma nicely.

A fun popcorn movie

DC is getting better at making superhero movies. This movie was a good stand alone origin story with lots of adventure. The plot is a simple hero's journey with Atlantean politics sewn into it.

Turn off your brain and enjoy the ride

I had read some poor reviews of this movie and went in prepared to not like it. With low expectations, I found that I actually enjoyed it. The bad guy seems a bit two dimensional so they tried to make him witty which doesn't work very well.
My advice is don't analyze the characters, their motivations, or their backgrounds much. Just enjoy the spectacle.

Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon are both funny women I've enjoyed in other movies and they're what save the movie.

Magnificent visuals

If you like the movie then the visuals will pop on a 4k screen. I haven't seen this movie in at least 10 years and I had forgotten how long some of the space scenes were. They do drag on a bit.
It's neat to see tablet computers so accurately predicted in the late 60's. That's something I like about Science Fiction, the prediction of the future.

Funny but sedated

I can't quite put my finger on what it is about this movie that made it feel grey, like a rainy afternoon in fall. I like McCarthy and think she's funny in this. Her interactions with the Muppet are fun. I guess the noir detective vibe from the Muppet clashes with the kooky comedy.
Worth a watch in the end but probably not going to become a cult favorite.

Good sequel to the first Halloween

I was dubious about ignoring Halloween 2 (the rest of the series is disposable) but the movie makes perfect sense.
The character development for Laurie is fantastic. Laurie having paranoid breakdowns about Michael yet overcoming that to try and have a relationship with her estranged family works well in showing her to be a "normal" person and not an action movie star.

This set contains every episode from the first season of the horror anthology based on and inspired by the work of Stephen King.

Definately feels like King

This series surprised me. I thought it might end up being like Lost where the start was intriguing but the end was lacking. Castle Rock stayed true thorough out, answering the mysteries by the end of the season. I look forward to seeing what the second season story line will be. I like the idea that this will be an anthology series with different stories each season.

I really enjoyed the first Equalizer movie and was looking forward to this one. I was surprised to find this one seemed a little bit unfocussed and the action felt forced at times. Like it was added to a drama to make it an action movie. I liked the interplay between Robert and the young man who is making questionable life choices. I almost wish the plot had revolved around that more.
