I think this is a great remote. I have three Logitech Harmony remotes and I think they all work great. Once they are set up with the Harmony app on a computer they seem to turn everything in the menus off and on without any problems.
I have always been a loyal fan of Logitech devices and these remotes are no exception. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a convenient easy to use remote with on screen use.

The term Magnolia when used by Best Buy just shows that the item is usually a special order item and is not available locally except at the Best Buy stores in the larger cities. The item that it is used with can usually be ordered for pickup at any store.

I don't think that mounting the player vertically would be a good idea. There are no mounting slots for screws on it and the disc drawer my not function properly.

Is this a better player then the Samsung 9500

Yes, this is a better player and a little more expensive. I have both model players (the 9700 in the living room and the 9500 in the bedroom) and I am very well pleased with both model players. The 9700 has a few more features and I purchased it more recently. I have always been well pleased with Samsung products ( I also own three of their tv's).

This player will only play DVD's and Blu-rays with a region code for the U.S. (at least the model I purchased at Best Buy). I do know that you can purchase the same player with region codes for other countries if you want to buy going on line and searching for those particular models. Almost all of the discs that I purchase are rated for the U.S. so I don't have any problems with the player. I hope this information has been helpful.

Can you control two TV’s (Sony and LG) in the same room?

I believe you can control two different tv's in the same room with this remote. If your tv's are used for different functions (watch cable tv, play games, etc.) then all you have to do is set the remote up with the function that you use it for. If this is not the case then you can still control two different tv's by choosing which tv you want to use in the remote "device" function and then choose the particular tv you want to control.
