We've has Whirlpool brand appliances for the 50 years we have been married without issues. Since Maytag's reputation is in commercial quality washers and dryers and the fact that Whirlpool purchased Maytag we went with a new Maytag washer and dryer set. The autosense water fill does not properly cover the clothes with water and when in final rinse cycle the washer vibrates like a freight train in running through the laundry room. The dryer seems fine. I don't see the washer lasting 17 years like our last Whirlpool. Quailty has gone way down.
