can you set timer to go on

Can you program the a/c to start at a certain time
Nope. But you can set it to a certain degree, so when it gets hot enough out it turns on

can the unit be set for just the room air and not any outside air, pollen is a problem in my area?

It only sucks air from inside the room, it doesn't pull air from outside. I worried about that too
