Wow, I was amazed how well made this was especially for the price. it feels well built and works great with my pc. Plently of buttons to key assign too. I thought the throttle tension was good. Some cheap joysticks tend to not have much resistance when moving the joystick, but this one is perfect. Pretty sturdy base doesnt move at all. Stop thinking about it and buy it. Wont be disappointed!

Does It work with Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition
I cannot say for sure with FSX steam, but I play FSX deluxe edition dvd and it works with that with no issues. Cant see why steam edition would be different.
