I love the sticks. But if you are buying this one with the upgraded remote just for kodi you won't need it. As the voice part is pretty useless unless you use YouTube on the Amazon side.

Love this stick I have got over 200 so far for my friends and clients this thing really does rock.
Yes you can play emulators yes bluetooth controllers work with this. Yes kodi works with this. Yes you can install most Android apps using adb.
Only downside is the internal disk space. But you can map network drives using a work around. Other then that if you don't plan on downloading stuff and just streaming and playing games off the network this is the stick foe you

Love this box it!. Runs everything smooth layout is awesome. Remote works fairly good and the Google voice works perfect.
Pros: runs xbmc/kodi very quickly. All of the emulators I used seem to work perfectly. Snes nes psx Gameboy sega. Have not tried sega cd yet.
Cons: low disk space with about 5gbs free don't count on storing a lot of files on this.
Has one USB port witch only works for devices like keyboard and mouse. The mouse is pretty much worthless as you cannot click on any amazon menus. Does however work in most apps. If your looking for more space the USB port won't allow external hard drive nor a USB flash drive. Unless rooted.

No the current fire stick isn't very good at gaming.
You can play a lot of android games but very limited
They are coming out with an upgraded fire TV stick the 20th of this month that will have a much faster processor and better wifi support.

how do i get the firestarter link back?
i no longer have an option for firestarter.how do i get it back?i followed a video on how to upgrade kodi but no videos will play. at first i would click firestarter then go to kodi but i do not have firestarter anymore help
Well you can reinstall firestarter
But amazon is now auto Uninstalling it
But they now show kodi under the apps menu
And you can still access your apps under settings and applications and manage installed apps
You must log on to your Amazon account now.

Can I Connect My LG GPad 8.3 LTE to the fire stick with an App?
I am looking for a device I can seemlessly connect my Gpad to.... I know that Chromecast Can't. So I am hoping that Fire TV or Fire Stick TV can. Is this possible?
Not sure what a gpad is but if it's Bluetooth you most likely can connect it if it doesn't show up under the add new remote or gaming device you will need to side load the Android settings apk app to access the Bluetooth settings menu to add it

My HDTV is an LG Flatscreen, model 42CS560, Manf in June 2012. What type of extenson do I need?
I would buy a hdmi switch they are cheap should fix your problem

I get no sound with my firetvstick
Everything else seems perfect.
My router is BT. Wifi and Password worked as expected.
My TV remote mute is no help; "mute off" shows a zero. Sound is normal on the TV..

Are you using the hdmi extender it came with and the power cord is plugged into the wall. Also is this going into any splitter try another hdmi port or another TV maybe a friends TV if still no sound then something is wrong with the stick maybe have you gone into sounds menu under settings

Firestick with HDMI splitter
I only have 1 HDMI port...can I use a splitter with that and is there a specific one? Does HDCP have anything to do with this?

Heard people having. Problems with sound and picture going in and out but that could just be the splitter myself I use a 7 port hdmi switch with remote that works perfectly and aren't that expensive not sure if Best Buy sells them in store but I'm sore online
