I currently have a Note 4, which I love, and was looking forward to the upgrade to the Note 7. I got the Note 7 on release day and was very pleased; it met my expectations and then some.

Too bad that is was recalled... I returned the phone as soon as Samsung acknowledged the battery issue. I will probably upgrade again at some point, but I think that I'll wait until the next iteration is out in the wild for a bit. Until then, my trusty Note 4 will continue to serve my needs.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this drive as an add-on to an HP - Spectre x360, to be used as extra storage.

Because the drive is fully powered by it's USB connection, and has a very small footprint, it's ideal for inclusion in my laptop case when traveling.

Access times are excellent via USB 3.0, and 1TB is more than adequate for the media files that I like to have on-hand.

Overall, I am very happy with this laptop. It is small and light-weigh, two of the characteristics I required. Boot times are very fast, and the machine handles all my day-to-day activities with ease.

One caveat - I initially had significant issues with network connectivity; the network adapter would "disappear" without explanation. Troubleshooting would result in the adapter being reset, which would resolve the problem until the next disappearance. This happened routinely under Windows 8.1, but seems to be resolved after upgrading the laptop to Windows 10.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the cord provided with this product go from a 3.0 to a 3.0 or a 2.0 to a 3.0?

Sandra, the cord provided with the Toshiba - Canvio Slim II is USB 3.0 Type A to Micro-B. For an image, search Google Images for "USB 3.0 Type A to Micro-B".
