What's great about it: No extra power supply needed
What's not so great: LED
Works fine so far (about a month).
I would prefer a separate LED for power/suspend/drive access. Or perhaps one that changes color. I can see what state it is currently in by watching it for a second or two, but I would prefer for an access LED to flash in accordance to how busy the drive is.
This product has... Fast, Attractive design/portable, Quiet, Large capacity/good size
About me... Budget Conscious, Work with large multimedia files, Need a simple backup solution
I would recommend this to a friend!

does this have ac capability

I need an ehd that has its own power suppy. Are there any portables that also have this ability, if so what are the Model numbers please. Thank you.
This portable drive does not necessarily require any power supply. It is efficient enough to run off the power from the USB port.
If you need to extend the USB cable, (may not a good idea however), or the port on the device you're connecting it to doesn't seem to supply it with sufficient power, then you may be able to attach the drive to a powered USB 3.0 hub, if the device recognizes and supports a hub (some TVs or audio equipment may not, for example).
