The western digital 1 TB hard drive is great. I provides plenty of storage for all of your video music or games, while remaining at an affordable price for almost any budget.

It has a USB 3 interface which is compatible with usb 2 also.
So it should work.
Also usually usb 3 ports have a blue piece in them to tell it apart from USB 2 ports

do i need to purchase anything else?

I want to install this in my hp pavilion desktop a6303w expansion bay
you will need a SATA 6 cable and screws unless extra came with the PC, also you must make sure the power supply of the PC has the necessary cable for another hard drive
