While very happy with prior version of this, this model greatly improves on the older model. Remote much easier to use and understand. Like Bluetooth feature. Glad iPod dock is gone which I did not use on the earlier model. FM tuner preforms better. Good to have AM radio also. Like that connector at speaker end of wire has been added. Better and removal speaker grille. Buying one for my daughter this month.

Hi, I just purchased this unit to replace a similar sony product. Will I be able to connect a I-Pod or I-Phone as before?
No longer have iPod dock but now have Bluetooth insert. Or, could use aux in.

Speaker cables
Do speaker cables come with the set, and, if so, how long are they?
Yes, they are about 4 ft long. With some wire nuts and 18 AWG zip cord you can easily extend the supplied cables. Will need to add to extend supplied cables since unique Sony connector at the receiver end. This model now has connectors at the speaker end that are easy to use.

If I have wifi and an iMac on my third floor, will i be able to connect to Pandora while I am in my studio on the ground floor?
No unless u used a WiFi adapter of some sort to interface with the USB, Bluetooth, or aux ports.

Not directly. Would need a mic preamp or mixer plugged into the aux input. Do not recommend use with mic -- not robust like a PA or karaoke system.

No - does not have a satellite receiver. But could plug in the audio from a satellite receiver into its aux input.
