What's great about it: Flexible, shock absorbing, keeps phone from sliding around
What's not so great: Hard to press the Home button and swipe up from the bottom of the screen to turn on Bluetooth etc.
I had a hard plastic case, which was great for protecting the phone, but it was hard to get on and off, and my phone slid around on the car seat. Found this tire tread rubber case and absolutely love it. It's easy to get on and off, is very flexible, absorbs shocks to the phone because it's made of tire rubber, and keeps the phone from sliding around on slick surfaces. It's difficult to press the Home button because there's a horizontal strip of rubber separating the screen from the button, and the case is thick enough that you have to use the tip of your finger to get into the opening deeply enough to press the button. On the plus side, it keeps you from accidentally pressing the button. Because of that rubber strip, it's also difficult to swipe up from the bottom to change settings. You have to move the rubber strip down about 1/8" to swipe, but when you get used to this quirk it's an automatic gesture on your part. And it attracts dog fur like crazy because of rubber's natural properties. However, it's easy to take the case off and run it under some water. If I can find one for my next iPhone whenever I upgrade, I'm buying another one just like this.
This product has... A no slip grip, Tough/durable, good fit
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to set up, easy to position, view on iDevices
What's not so great: A bit larger than I'd anticipated, low resolution
Bought the single camera with base station and liked it so much I bought an add-on camera. Resolution is low, but I use it to make sure my elderly parents haven't fallen or aren't having issues, so I don't need great resolution. I'd love for it to be smaller so it's less conspicuous, but I can live with the size. I love being able to use my iPhone and iPad to check in on them anytime. I purchased the yearly service from Netgear because it saves images and videos on the Internet to review later, but if all you want is to see what's going on now, there's no added charge after purchasing the camera. I love the fact that I can add more cameras whenever I want.
This product has... Adequate viewing area, Many good, useful features

Does this camera require additional equipment?

I only need a camera to watch the front door. Is this a stand alone camera or does it have to be part of a Netgear system. What is approx. battery life?
This is a camera to add on to the system and requires a base station. Netgear sells a camera + base station combination. The base station connects directly to your wifi hub. The camera is synced to the base station so the station knows it's attached, and the camera transmits its images wirelessly to the base station. You create a Vuezone account on the Internet to be able to watch things through the camera, and the account is associated with the base station, not the camera itself. As you add more cameras to the system, you only have to sync the cameras. The Vuezone account talks to the base station and shows you images from all cameras that have been synced with that base station.

It comes with two camera batteries that get installed simultaneously. I haven't had to replace the batteries, so I don't know battery life. We've been using it four months so far. I remember reading somewhere that it said "up to a year."
