I'm basing this review on their price. For $300, I'm expecting far above average. So let's get to the good stuff first:
1. The build quality is fantastic.
2. The lambskin ear pads are phenomenal.
3. Bluetooth connection is good.
4. B&O Play app lets you tweak the sound a little bit and I always support BT OEMs that do that.
5. 3.5mm headphone jack included.
Cons
1. Super bass heavy sound. Okay for watching movies and maybe hip-hop and electric music. However, the bass is too strong for most other genres of music. Some songs had the bass so far up that it was drowning out other parts of the song.
2. The midrange is recessed. When you use the app to tweak it so there's less bass, the whole sound is empty because these cans can't do midrange well.
3. The treble is a bit too hot. It's intentional because these try to accentuate the occasional symbol in a synth song, but it's weird to hear high hats sound louder in the mix than a guitar solo on a classic rock track.
4. Bluetooth only supports SBC and AAC. For $300, aptx would've been nice. Aptx-HD would've been even better.
5. The app is sluggish.
6. The sound changing aspect of the app could've used an equalizer.
These aren't very good for their price. For an extra $50, you can get the Sony WH1000XM2 with aptx, aptx-hd, aac, and sbc bluetooth along with a much more natural and clearer sound (pretty sure it comes with an app too). Its redeeming qualities -- the comfort, the build quality, and the mobile app -- simply don't do enough to justify this price tag with that sound signature. I would not recommend these to people. Demand better out of our headphone manufacturers. You can also get the wired B&O H6 for $50 less than this (on other sites, BB doesn't sell the H6) and it sounds far, far better.
This is a bad deal, even for Bluetooth wireless headphone standards (where they're all overpriced). Don't buy these.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have the Sennheiser hd500a headphones. Are these the same?. What are the differences?

They are not the same. They're a little warmer, a little more mellow in the sound signature. They're also a bit lighter, a bit more comfortable, and a bit easier to drive. the HD500A has 150ohm impedance and these have 50ohm impedance. They'll work on a smartphone, for instance, where the HD500A may struggle a bit on a portable device. In terms of which sound "better", that's a matter of opinion since we all hear sounds differently. These kind of roll off the treble and boost the bass ever so slightly (it is NOT like a beats competitor or anything). Hopefully that helps!

is it good for gaming and editing, if so why

They are good for both. The sound is colored, but it's not colored enough to matter. If you're super duper professional, you'll want something like the Shure 840s or the sennheiser HD600s. These will work in a pinch. They are also fairly excellent for gaming. The soundstage is fantastic and the spacial awareness they provide is very above average. For $80, you could do a lot worse.

How long will last this sale ($80)?

They've been at this "sale" price for years now. I'm pretty sure it's just the price now. I've had my 558s (that's what these are, the 558s) for 4 years now and they were only $120 when I bought them back then. $80 seems to be the final price.

For gaming, they're okay. You'll hear massive explosions like they're right next to you. For editing, it's a no go. These color the sound far too much to faithfully mix, master, edit, or record with them. You may need to look elsewhere for studio monitors, BB doesn't really sell headphones like that. Your local music store should have some decent studio cans.

How long can you wear this before the high frequency radio waves fry your brain?

I got about 2 hours out of it before I couldn't stand it anymore. It's noticeable after less than 30 minutes, and it really depends on what kind of music you listen to. These are treble and bass heavy. Those who are sensitive to treble should steer clear!
