Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, this Samsung BD-J5700/ZA Blu-ray player allows you to enjoy streaming media from your favorite content providers, including Netflix, Pandora and more. AllShare DLNA capability lets you stream content stored on your home network.

Good choice for a non-Smart TV

I bought a TV that isn't a "Smart" TV so I got this Blu-Ray player which gave me access to all the content that I want. The only draw back to this solution is you have to have the Blu-Ray player on in order to access the online content like Amazon, Netflix, etc. But the player draws very little electricity so to me that is not an issue.

I bought one of these a few years ago and loved it so much I just bought another one for my new home. Simple to install and just what I needed to locate my Blu-Ray player near the TV. Looks good too!

This wall-mounted shelf advertises an "Integrated cable management system." How does this cable management system work? I'm wondering how it possibly can hide the cables from a cable box?

The "cable management system" is very limited in what it can do. It can't really hide all the cables, more like group them together near the shelf. If hiding the cables is your main goal, there are other solutions you need to look at.

I have a Panasonic 40 inch LCD TV, will this unit be able to support the weight of this TV.

No, the shelf has a 15 pound load limit. Pretty sure your 40" TV is going to weigh more than that.
