There isn't too much to get excited about folks. Its a USB3 jump drive. It works. You can put files on it. You can take them off. Its less convenient than a cloud drive but way faster. I used mine to boot up a linux distribution and for this it works perfectly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this to replace my Roku 2. The Roku 2 was never that good a device for me and was acting up yet again. It became apparent that after 3 years Roku wasn't going to replace the Roku 2 no matter how much I whined and complained, so I gave up on them started looking at alternatives. I looked at similar devices from Apple and Amazon but ended up back with Roku. The reviews were good and I had the idea that I would be able to unplug the old one and just plug the new one in. It wasn't quite that easy. The user interface was different and I still had to register the device with Roku, Hulu, Netfix, Amazon, etc. It wasn't difficult but I probably would have bought the Amazon device if I had known I would have to set everything up again anyway. The Roku 4 compared to the old Roku 2 is like comparing a Yugo with a blown head gasket to a brand new Lamborghini. Using the menu on the Roku 2 was like swimming through mud. Using the same function the Roku 4 just flies. It loads content quickly, the user interface is fast and responsive. It has never frozen up or rebooted mid movie in the 6 weeks that its been powered up. Even though I'll never forgive Roku for putting me through the misery of the 2, the Roku 4 has none of the old devices shortcomings.

I bought this because it was cheap. I have previously avoided the cheaper end of the ssd price spectrum because I'm cautious with my data. This was a low risk low budget project so I decided to give SanDisk a shot. Installation was easy. I used the spacer that came with the drive to make the SSD fit snug in its laptop bay. There is no 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 converter so if you are installing in a 3 1/2 inch bay you will want duct tape or an adapter. Loading the OS was just like loading an OS except faster. Seriously... this is like night and day faster compared to conventional hard drive. In day to day use its as fast as my Intel or Crucial ssd's. Time will tell about reliability but its been running for about a month now. Remember that backups are your friend whatever you buy. Overall so far 10/10. Would do it again.

This easily allows me to move files, usually pictures or music, on and off my phone to a PC. I also use it to create backups of the phone easily. Its fast, reliable, and small.

I use this tablet for Lightroom and Photoshop photography post production work. For what I ask of it it performs well. My computer did not recognize the tablet, and the driver CD was unreadable, but manual download and installation of the drivers fixed that. The tablet works out of the box once the drivers are loaded, and has pretty robust customization potential so you can tweak how it actually works with your software. This customization isn't well documented in the pamphlet/manual but the software points you to plenty of online video tutorials. A couple of things could be improved thought. First is the USB cable. Its way too short to be useful. You will need to get an extension unless you are using it with a laptop. Second is the need to purchase the wireless add on for about $35.00. I'm typing this on a wireless keyboard that cost me about $25 dollars. If a 25 dollar keyboard can throw in wireless connectivity for free so can Wacom. Other than that I'm pretty happy and would probably purchase again.

Is it really as simple as just plug it into the HDMI slot? Do the apps just appear, or where do I find them?

Do I need to sign up for each channels like the regular ABC CBS NBC? What about Nat Geo and discovery?
You can't watch regular channels live. I primarily watch Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon but these require subscriptions. There may be other options I am not aware of.

Mobile hotspot

Will this Roku device work with a T Mobile hotspot?
Assuming adequate bandwidth yes. It will consume huge amounts of data. If you have caps keep an eye on usage.

In Roku's website, Roku 4 specification shows "Up-scales 720p to 1080p HD on 1080p HD and 4K UHD TVs". What Does it mean?

Does it mean it can convert 720p video into 1080p?
It means it will scale the 720p output to fill your 1080p screen possibly making it look crisper. It will not convert 720p content to 1080p quality but it will probably be difficult to tell the difference for most content.

It should. You will probably need to use the adapter to make it fit the T60's 9mm bay

Will this work as an extra storage drive for my phone?

I want to store extra photos, music and games without using up internal drive space on my phone. Am I able to use this drive for that purpose?
You should be able to use this as extra storage but the drive would be in the way if you intend to leave it in place. An SD card would work way better.
