I was a little nervous about installing an aftermarket stereo into a Volkswagen. I've heard some horror stories about electronics causing computer failures in the car. This adapter allowed the JVC head unit to function perfectly with my vehicle.

This dash kit allows for the installation of an aftermarket double DIN radio or 2 single DIN radios into the factory dash location of select Volkswagen vehicles.

I found there are two different kit's available for my VW. I chose the cheaper one. Like much in life, you get what you pay for.
In hindsight, I'd have bought the more expensive kit. The fit & finish on this one is just mediocre.

i was wondering if this will fit my volkswagen jetta 2000 and what would be a good radio for my volkswagen jetta 2000
This radio will work beautifully in your Jetta! My only suggestion is that you spend the extra money for the premium adapter kits and installation accessories. Definitely get the better of the two trim kits. It will enhance the look of the radio once it is installed into your double din opening. I am also a Volkswagen owner. Pioneer also makes a really nice double din head unit. I have the Pioneer in my 03 GTI and I have this JVC in my 07 rabbit. I love them both! Don't forget, Best Buy will price match even vs Crutchfield!
