Machine ok so far, only had for 3 weeks. Only use the manual water level settings, the auto precise fill settings will not cover your clothes with water. Once you set the wash cycle, you can not change it or it will dump the water already in it and start over, so be sure to set it right the first time. The spin cycle seem to last for a very long time. Very different quite sound while washing cycles. Seems to get clothes clean when you get enough water in it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can temp of water be manually controlled on wash and rinse?

There are several settings on the wash cycle, I believe all rinse cycles are cold.
