What's great about it: Everything! Normally I would have went for the Mac but I am Happy.
What's not so great: DvD drive is fickle. .? And its 17.3" and weighs in at a little over 7lbs.
This is a great laptop in general. I have looked at a few over time but none took my breath away as this one did. A wonderful purchase. Would do it again. Large in size but the screen makes it well worth it.
This product is... Good sound quality, A touch pad that works great, Perfect for Business, Big screen size, easy to set up, lightning fast, 17.3" of awesomeness
About me... Budget Conscious, Parent with kids, Technology guru, Regularly process large video or graphics files, Business Professional, Comfortable with technology

Is it Windows 8 or 8.1 on this laptop (Model: m7-j120dx)?

The overview says Windows 8, the Specs list says Windows 8.1. So far two reviewers said they had to upgrade to 8.1, while another listed 8.1 as being something they liked about this computer, inferring it came with it already installed. In a question someone else asked about the difference between this model (Model: m7-j120dx) and Model m7-j020dx, an HP Rep responded that this model has Windows 8 and the m7-j020dx has Windows 8.1. This information is rather conflicting. It would seem to me that the m7-j120dx would be a newer version than the m7-j020dx since the model number is one higher, but, again, an HP Rep responded the opposite. Can someone tell me for sure which version of Windows is on this model? Thanks in advance!
8.1 was already installed. I have had mine since the beginning of March.

Does the screen have antiglare finish?

I want to know about all the features of the screen. IPS technology, antiglare finish, Full-HD, etc.

What is the difference between Model 17-j130us and Model M7-j120dx?

Other than 12GB vs 8GB, what is the difference between Model 17-j130us and Model M7-j120dx? The 17-j130us is $100 cheaper and has 4GB more memory and the M7-j120dx has voice recognition software. Other than that, how do they compare?
It may be better to check the exact specs, It does seem like the j120dx has a few more features than the -j130us. I have counted at least 3-4 but compare them side by side and see what is better suitable for your needs.

How do I connect my hot spot

I can't seem to get it to connect.
Please make sure your wifi is switched on.. If looking down at the keyboard the F12 button should be lit. If the light is an amber color then its off. Once you confirm that the wifi is in fact on you swipe the right panel and can get to the settings menu select the wifi bars on top left then select the correct network. Note: You can also turn wifi on and off from settings as well as wifi icon in toolbar in right corner of your desktop screen where you see the time and date. .
