I already owned a Brother HL-L2360D and was super impressed with the performance of that little machine. For a second location, I also needed scanning ability. Since this model shares TN-660 toner cartridges with my other one and the price was right, I ordered it sight-unseen. I'm very happy with how easy the setup was both for my Mac OSX and Windows 10 machines. As a graphic designer, quality was an important consideration and both of these machines work very well for me.

I'm a graphic designer, so I was actually shopping much more expensive laser printers for daily use. After looking at quite a few, and being personally biased toward H-P, I decided to give this cheap little Brother laser a try. I am amazed at how fast, how clean, how cheap to operate this little printer is. Also super-easy to setup. I printed a complex 24-page magazine from InDesign in almost exactly one-minute (with duplexing!). I only wish they made this in Tabloid size.

I've had cheaper screen protectors, but a friend talked me into trying HD Glass and the difference is huge: HD glass feels like the native screen, stays cleaner in general, and it's easy to clean. When I dropped it a couple of times, I found not even a mark. Great protection!

I'm a Mac OS based graphic designer who was tired of the crummy controls, poor hand grip, skipping and unpredictable response of the various wireless mouse options I already had. This was not the one I intended to buy, but everything else was sold out-- and this was on a great sale. I bought it half-expecting to take it back, but it's the only mouse I use anymore. (I still have the Apple Magic mouse and an iHome wireless).
PROS: nice long cord, incredible sensitivity, vast customization options, nice weight and size, well-place buttons, fits my hand nicely, never skips, really cool programmable 12-key thumbpad that I actually use, nice scrollwheel sensitivity, perfect tracking on all surfaces I've tried (including very glassy countertops)
CONS: I'm still not in love with the G-shift button, because I'd rather have my ring finger next to the mouse. On some really long days, my little finger can get sore from mouse control use. Also, Logitech Gaming software requires reauthorization EVERY TIME I start up the computer-- annoying, but not enough to detract from the overall goodness of this mouse.
Conclusion: I will never use a wireless mouse again unless I absolutely have to. The quality, sensitivity, and control are way better wired. And the 20+ buttons on this mouse make it possible to program macros for all kinds of things that used to require taking my hand off the mouse.
BONUS: the mouse has a mode which illuminates the keys cycling through the rainbow. I constantly get questions from people who can't figure out what it is-- it appears to pulse slowly on the desk.

I'm picking on the blue lights because they're really my only complaint: excessively bright blue indicators make it hard to see the pale white net indicator. I plan to put some kind of box over the whole thing. But on the positive side, this modem is very reliable, has a nice diagnostic page accessible from the network, and is more than fast enough for my Comcast Blast! service. Even when coupled with my modest Linksys EA3500 router, I consistently hit 89mbps downloads and 12mbps up, which is exactly what I was getting with the much more expensive box that Comcast was leasing me.

I did some research before buying the SanDisk-- while there are a few faster drives, there are none I've found at this price point. Transfer speeds through the USB port on my MacBook Pro are blazing fast, and SanDisk has good reputation among flash drive suppliers.

I bought this unit to replace a 15-year old BACK-UPS 650 (while I waited for a replacement battery on that one). I've always had very good performance from APC units, and this is my third-- all are still running. I like this form factor better (lay down, with plugs on top) than the old rear-plug style unit, and there's more room between outlets. Battery replacement also looks very easy on this unit. But Mac users should note that none of the PowerChute software features are available for Macintosh. That's never bothered me, but they really should make that point on the packaging.

I have a back-up generator for my office, however when power goes out and switches to the generator, my computer turns off and won't turn back.
So I can not access my computer remotely, will this keep the computer on without shutting down?
Yes, this will keep your computer running. When a computer's plugged in to the BACK-UPS 700, I can unplug from the wall and the battery switch is so fast that I don't even see a screen flash. In your situation, you should also make sure your network is backed up (cable modem and any routers that connect your computer to the internet). If your network is not backed up, then any outages will take down the network and it may or may not recover after you switch to the generator--even if your computer is still running. This unit can probably cover both your computer and the network for a short time.

Will this unit work as a surge protector?
Yes, unit works as both a surge protector and a line conditioner. Some outlets are surge-only, for things like printers and high-load peripherals that you don't want/need to run on battery backup. Others are both surge and battery, and those also provide voltage boost in brownout conditions.

Is this compatible with all systems?
I have a Dell xps & windows 8...
The APC units work with all operating systems, but the powerchute software is only available for Windows. Unless you run a server or keep your machine running while you're away, it really shouldn't matter.

Is this compatible with Mac OS 10.2.8 and higher?
PowerChute software will not work for any Mac, but I have APC units on 3 mac workstations and they work great. If you don't care about the controlled shutdown feature (really only important for a server) then this unit works fine without it.
