So far, nothing but great things to say about this machine. I've had it for about 6 weeks, and it works perfectly. It uses a surprisingly low amount of water, but it succeeds at getting my clothes really clean. It's also VERY fast, and much faster than my old top-load machine. I would highly suggest it!

Mold grows inside door seal?

We had a previous generation LG front load washer that had an open seal on the door that caught water and would allow mold to grow. It needed regular cleaning to avoid the problem; otherwise a very good machine. Has this issue been resolved with later generations?
Yes. The door now stays propped open to allow air to circulate. They have a magnetic lock that leaves the door open a few inches.

King Size Bedding

Will this wash and wash well king size comforters?
I haven't tried it yet, but it is certainly big enough to get the job done. I have washed some very big loads that come out perfectly clean, so it's possible!

Does this unit have the onboard water heating function?

Thank you.
Yes, this unit does heat water on its own.

BTW, I would suggest a water softening powder for extremely hard water.
