I bought the Chrome Cast stick for a brand new TV with two HDMI slots. I had been using an old HDMI cable but the playback colors were skewed. The first time that I plugged in the Chrome stick everything worked well, colors were brilliant, no lag for most viewing. But after a vacation when I left the stick off for a week the stick is sort of laggy and only responds sometimes. Still worth the $35.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a pretty good, middle of the road TV. I purchased it for the size and picture quality came second. I got what I paid for. The picture is okay, although nothing eye popping. There are enough plugs on the back and it is easy to setup. Overall, for the price I think it's a good buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does this TV connect to the internet?

nsignia™ NS-40D510NA15 LED HDTV - All the reviews answer "No" to "Internet Connectivity". Does that mean that I can't use it for Netflix with Wifi?
If you have a Wii or Smart BluRay player then it is possible to play Netflix via WiFi. You can also use Chrome Cast with this TV's USB port. Or you can run an HDMI cable from your computer, but the picture quality may suffer depending on the computer resolution settings.

This is not a Smart TV, so without one of the add-ons above you cannot stream Netflix or other services.

what tv's are smart tv? and how do they connect to the internet?

via USB, Blue tooth?
The version of the TV that I purchased is not a smart TV.

The definition of a smart TV is one that connects to the internet, either via Wi-Fi (usually) or sometimes through an HDMI cable, and is capable of playing manufacturer specific Apps (such as Netflix, Hulu, etc.).

What is the VESA pattern for this model?

I plan to wall mount the tv and would like to know the VESA pattern. Thanks.
The VESA pattern is 200mm by 200mm.
