Sharp - 1.1 Cu. Ft. Mid-Size Microwave - White

Last Sharp microwave died after 8 years of family use so was happy to replace it with another Sharp microwave.
Pros+
+ It still comes with a light that turns on when cooking.
+ Simple to use with several quick start buttons (popcorn, pizza, beverage etc.)
+ 1 step minute buttons - just press a number on the front and it will start two seconds later.
Cons-
- It is just a little bit quieter than my old Sharp which was not as quiet as other brands out there.
- Oven light is only on when cooking. Old model turned light on when door was opened as well. At least it has a light still.
- Still getting used to the circular door open button. Can't decide if that is better than the rectangle.

Clock feature on 309 YW
Bought this microwave for my parents who live out of town. They said the clock is a 24 hour clock. Is there a way to change it to a 12 hour clock?
It can be either. It is set by the clock button to either 12 or 24 when setting the time.

It has a light when microwave is microwaving. Light goes out when time is up.
