the flip out prongs to plug it into the wall are too small to stay in the socket and too loose to keep a connection. i needed to prop it to stay plugged in and connected. Best Buy took it back without any hassle which is always a great relief and why i love this store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I generally like LG products. I've bought tvs and a bunch of their phones over the years. I've only had trouble with 1 TV not being able to be turned on randomly. but all the other stuff has worked great and lasted a long time

will this work with curling irons and hair dryers

it wont stay plugged in while you are moving your hair dryer around your head

will these charge my cell phone?

most of the tips are round. i didn't see a tip that looked like most cell phone connectors. I would buy a charger that is specific to my phone, you don't want to jack with odd volts and amperage on your cell phone with a jack of all trades charger.

All I want is something to use as a backup in case my computer crashes. Is this it?
