The units are light and the included cables cheap and short, but after a bit of tweaking this item gave me the confidence to remove the existing cable which was running across a doorway under a rubber cable cover. I set the subwoofer distance in the AV receiver to 45 feet rather than the actual 10 feet and then the audio was in sync. When I left the subwoofer levels where they were with the cable, the transmitter was slow to respond and sometimes never kicked in.I incrementally increased the level until the transmitter fired up immediately and since then, 1 month in, all has been golden

What cable do I need?

I know nothing about speakers but can say there is no single input on the back of my sub (RC?) like there is on my receiver, just a bunch of left/right inputs. The sub has its own power source if that makes a difference. Is there a cable I can use to convert the single cable that comes with the wireless device? If so, exactly what is it called and where do I plug it in?
If your AV receiver has crossover management, which most have, you only need to use 1 cable and plug it into the socket labeled LFE. On my subwoofer, that's the left socket
