This is my 2nd Dyson vacuum and I love it. My first one I have had for 10 years and still works great but I used it when we were remodeling our house and I felt like I needed a new one when the construction was done. As much as I loved my old one I love the ball technology and how it turns so easily. I also love the fact that this one get right up to the baseboards and edges without having to use the hand tool like I had to with my other vacuum. I think everyone should own a Dyson they are the best vacuum and well worth the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

How long is the hose attachment ?

Looking to use on stairs and wonder how long it is.
It is long enough to reach a few stairs but you will have to lift the vacuum up the stairs to finish.

Can i use this on my new bamboo floors?

I have brand new laminate floors and it works great

Motorized brush

I realize the PET MODELS have the motorized brush but we do not have pets and was wondering if it would clean as well. From the one answer I rec'd previously, it sounds like he was not sure but that I should vacuum more often. I can do that with a much less expensive vacuum.
You do not need the pet tool especially if you don't have pets. I have a dog that sheds and my old vacuum came with the pet tool which I never used once. Even with a pet I feel its a waste of money. Like I said I have a pet and I just bought my second Dyson and I didn't buy the pet model it works awesome. I had my first Dyson for 10 years and it still works great but we used it for a remodel and I felt like I needed a new one. The pet model is just an attachment that you use to suck up extra pet hair on your couch etc and like I said I have never used mine. You will be fine with a regular model. Save your money
