What happen to ASUS? They were a leg up over Linksys and other competitors when they released the first AC route which rocked and still dose. I purchased this item to find it to be horrible. The CPU is always around 197 degrees F and crashes daily. The 5GHz band drops out all the time and will not recover for a day, or until rebooted. Sorry ASUS, I am not one of those of users who stay brand loyal despite the garbage that you produce. Going back today and picking up the Netgear Tri Band AC3200. Save your money and problems. Buck up the few extra bucks as you get what your pay for.

Does the ASUS Router AC2400 RT-AC87U peform reliably with 2.4 and 5G devices?

Some reviews indicate that it crashes and needs to be rebooted on 2.4 and 5. Does the ASUS Router AC2400 RT-AC87U perform reliably with 2.4 and 5G frequencies? Specifically, will it work with Apple TV and if so, which frequency would work best?
yes, I am returning mine today after 1 week of annoying crashes, drops. the CPU runs so hot I think that is what is crashing it and taking down the 5 GHz band. save yourself the time and money like I did and upgrade to a competitor.
