I bought this model on the recommendation of a friend who had purchased a different model through a TV infomercial. This model was the same price and had the added features of lights when using the motor half only and had 2X the size of dust cup for the same price she paid with no shipping charges. It is a powerful sweeper on both carpets and hard floors and because the motor is up by your hand it doesn't blow the dust around the floor before you can suck it up - it's wonderful!!! Incidently, the friend who purchased the lesser model put hers in a garage sale and went and bought the same model I got and is even happier with it!
I recommended it to my daughter who also went and bought one and she's thrilled with hers as well.

I would recommend this to a friend!
