Bought these for my wife for her birthday. Not only is the sound great and the Bluetooth connectivity a breeze, but she was listening to an audiobook with them and absolutely did not hear our doorbell ring numerous times!

What's great about it: Easy to set up

What's not so great: Doesn't boost like I expected

I bought this to help boost wi-fi signal into some areas of our house (single-level 2400 sq. ft.) where we had weak signal. Helped a little but still not much of an improvement. Never get a "Strong Signal" indicator on booster wherever I locate it.

What's great about it: WiFi

What's not so great: WiFi

Bought the deluxe model (500) due to the WiFi capability but have been less than impressed. During our first trip since installing the Slingbox, we had a very difficult time staying connected and it froze frequently. The problem may be with our WiFi connection while on vacation. Hopefully that is the case since the mailn reason for buying the unit was for my son to connect while away at college. We will see in a couple of weeks.

Can I order and view an on-demand movie connected to a DirectTV receiver?

I plan to connect Sling to my home's DirectTV receiver box and view DirecTV at a weekend place. If I do that, will I be able to order DirecTV on-demand movies and watch them from the remote location?

Yes...anything you can do with the remote on your DirecTV box, you will be able to do on Slingbox (with a virtual remote on the screen)

Can multiple people watch different channels at the same time?

No...whatever is on the TV the slingbox is connected to is what the Slingbox user sees. If the user changes the channel on the Slingbox, the TV channel is changed as well.
