Microsoft - Surface Pro 2 - 64GB - Dark Titanium
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Tablet: More capable than your average tablet but lighter and smaller than a laptop, the Surface Pro 2 features hands-on productivity with the ability to fully support Microsoft Office (sold separately). Multitask with side-by-side apps, prop up your tablet with the built-in kickstand, or connect accessories via the USB and display ports for a work-efficient desktop setup.

What's great about it: Innovative hardware design.
What's not so great: Windows 8 is improving
The Surface line is improving at a great rate and I think this device in particular will last me the next 5-8 years if I need it to. With cloud storage, I can store all the files I need for school and because its full windows it runs any necessary programs I might need for online classes. The stylus is a dream to work with. Office 2013 is also pretty and fluid. Having the unique side by side capabilities makes things so great when referencing a paper and doing some writing or note taking. The onscreen keyboard works well enough that I still haven't felt compelled to spend the somewhat heavy price tag on one. I have not had much slow down at all except when having multiple tabs in IE up. One point of initial confusion is the two different types of IE on the device. One for desktop and one for the zippy and nicely improved start interface. IE on the desktop is still pretty mediocre in comparison to Chrome. I still favor OneDrive over Googles limiting services however, although I did use them quite often in the past. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a computer for school that is highly portable, versatile and industry leading.
This product is... responsive touch screen, easy to set up, A nice compact size, Sharp graphics, Easy to navigate, Comfortable to hold
About me... Basic web surfing & emails, Student, Social media enthusiast, traveler, Comfortable with technology
I would recommend this to a friend!

When you open it, how long does it take to boot up?

Does the Microsoft Surface boot up as fast as an iPad? Does it get to applications as fast as an iPad?
From off to password print to login, about 12 seconds. From sleep, probably 2.
