I did not expect this headset to be amazing, as it's very affordable. However, the number of options in adjusting the surround sound are wonderful, it really makes gameplay a whole new experience. I have had no trouble with the mic, unless I love it too far from my mouth. The cord is insanely long, which helps mobility and prevents the dreaded head tug when I forget to take them off when standing up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

does the mic bend? or is it one solid stick? also, can you rotate it up when you're not using it?

Yes, you can bend it back and forth and it does an excellent job staying where you put it. You can fold it up when not in use, but it doesn't quite get out of the way completely.
