Ok. I am a senior on a tight budget. Will this device work on its own to get wi do into my home as I bought the firesticks and Comcast speed is too slow. I would like to eliminate Comcast altogether.

Dear Anonymous, this unit might work better than the one Comcast provides but you still have to have an Internet provider. If you buy this product it won’t work without a provider, which is what Comcast does. Comcast provides different speeds for varying prices. If what you have is to slow to work you need buy a higher speed package.
