Keeps freezing and will not respond to remote...????? Even replace one of them but have the same problem, freezes and doesn't respond to remote !
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is Heat a concern with this model?

Some plasma owners have talked about the heat from their units. Is this a major issue still on this model?
Gets a little warm but I have a fan on most of the time which helps.
