I recently purchased a sonos play bar and the boost bridge. I connected the boost to my router in my office on the second floor of my home. This is extremely easy to install and the secure wireless bridge can be picked up from all tv's or locations in my home (2nd floor, main floor and my finished basement). Makes installing additional speakers a piece of cake!

Great sound bar - but expensive

I recently replaced my living room tv with a 70" Visio smart TV M series. The sound that comes with TV's these days are sub par at best. So I started doing my research on sound bars and overall sound systems.
I wanted a system that was truely wireless that I could add speakers to as I wanted to (when I had the extra dough saved up). I did not want speakers that were labeled as wireless but still had to be connected to the sub woofer. I wanted a system that did not require a separate remote. Of course I wanted the best sound quality as well and I did not want to have to hire a technician to install it.
That's when I discovered Sonos products. I went to best buy and Amazon online customer reviews and read everything I could about this system and manufacturer. The real techy dudes seemed to like this product as well as the novice TV watcher and music listeners. So I went to the best buy store and further compared to other systems.
I guess this is one of those examples of "you get what you pay for" moments. The Sonos Playbar is definitely pricy, but well worth the money. This is a superior product and all of the things I wanted and did not want were fulfilled. I can't wait to buy the sub and play 1's. This playbar is wonderful. One last thing, make sure you buy the sonos boost wireless transmitter. I tried to get away without it at first, however, I quickly drove back to best buy to purchase this. Makes installation super easy!

how to you get playbar to work
won't work getting a musical tone when trying get volume
It depends on how you set it up. Here are the requirements for having a great experience and easy set up.
Set up
1) make sure you have Internet at you location
2) buy the Boost Wireless Bridge
3) download the Sonos application to your smart phone or tablet
Install:
1) kick off the application- follow instructions for installing the Boost first!
2) connect boost direct to your router
3)follow instructions to connect playbar to TV ( use optical connection for best results)
Play music through the Sonos application. Very intuitive set up. If the playbar doesn't work now than call customer support.
