What's great about it: Great controller to use with steam and xbox 360
What's not so great: Left thumb stick wears out and starts drifting a direction when thumb is not on the stick.
This wireless controller is perfect for PC when playing controller supported games on Steam. It's as simple as inserting the driver disc that came with it, following the couple simple steps and plugging in the dongle. Launch any controller supported game and that's it! Get to playing!
My only issue with it is that like a few of my other Xbox controllers, the left thumb stick wears out, and sometimes when my thumb is not on the stick it will make my character in game slowly drift left or right. To be fair though, I play a lot of Call of Duty so I am constantly mashing the left thumb stick down to sprint so I probably put that stick through a lot more wear and tear than the average user.
All in all a great product and would purchase again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Noise canceling in earbuds. Rechargeable battery. Can use while battery is dead. Super comfortable. Won't pull out easy.
What's not so great: Sound suffers when noise canceling not engaged. Lacks bass like most Bose products do.
Good product. The dongle can get in the way sometimes but not a deal breaker. Sound clarity is great when the noise canceling is on, but a little muffled when it's off.
Headphones feel great and are very hard to pull out by accident. @ $300 price point you are mostly paying for the noise canceling as you can get comparable or debatably better sound in the $80-100 range.
If you need good noise canceling in a small package these are for you. If you just want great sounding headphones either save your money and get a cheaper set or get a different set of phones at the same price point.
With headphones you get what you pay for and there are very few exceptions to that rule.

Help purchasing first pair?
I am a nerd of the age of 15ish, and recently was given some Best Buy money. I need a set of headphones that are over the ear, wireless, have a microphone, and do not plug into two separate ports, like a USB and an audio jack. Thank you so much!

Duncan, your best bet would be going with a pair of wireless beats by dre solos. They have great sound are over the ear and wirelessly attach to any smart device via Bluetooth. If those don't work for you google Bluetooth headphones.

Plugging jack into devices -- or not -- for just using noise cancellation
If I just want to tune out my obnoxious upstairs neighbors and not listen to any music, can I simply turn on the noise canceling earbuds without plugging them into my iPhone (or any other device)? Will the active noise cancellation still work if not plugged into a music player or other device? My primary purpose will be noise cancellation (not music listening) and I want something I can comfortably wear around the house -- without always needing to be tethered to my iPhone -- while I count the months until my lease expires. Thanks. ... and never rent a downstairs apartment.
Yes you can use the noise canceling by itself without having it plugged into a device. I will warn you however that when there is no sound coming out of the headphones and the noise canceling is engaged, there is a very quiet but noticeable hiss/high pitched whine that can be heard without some form of sound covering it up. Depending on your age you may not be able to hear the quiet whine, but you will probably notice the hiss.
