This is our 3rd Remote. We're really hard on our stuff, I'm not faulting the remote. How many times can you drop one until it starts acting "buggy"? I've also purchased a less expensive (but still in the Logitech family) remote for both of my daughters. I'm the tech person in our house, and I've got this down pat. My daughters boyfriend said it perfectly. "At first I hated this remote. Now I love it." The programming might be a little too challenging for some, I understand. If you're giving it a shot, good for you! Just have your make and model #'s ready. Also the input source . Example; Samsung Blue Ray, Model ????, connects thru HDMI #2. If all else fails, spend the $ and have the geek squad install it. I say this ONLY because it has a "help" button. You WON'T need the geek squad to come back and fix it for you. You point the remote AT the TV and push the "help" button. The remote will check everything connected to your T.V.. One step at a time. Just keep pointing the remote AT the T.V. The remote will also ask questions which you answer by pushing the "yes' or "no" button. The only thing easier is to just yell at the top of your lungs "Robin, it's not working". Then I come push the button for you. And shake my head. A lot.

It's working great. We were using a Sony Blu Ray to access Netflix etc.It's older but watching DVD's are not a problem. I was using the preinstalled Apps to get to Netflix, etc. But it was awful. 99% of the time It wouldn't work. We changed our internet provider and purchased this. I couldn't be happier. I was already a Prime Member. This really is expanding our whole use of both the membership and the Amazon Stick. Very happy.

I was torn between this and the "FitBit". About a week into the purchase I was on a international flight. The passenger next to me was wearing the "Fitbit". We started talking and comparing what we liked/didn't like. We personally (not saying there isn't more out there and we didn't find them!) found 3 major differences. The "FitBits" screen was MUCH smaller, (my personal deal breaker. ), "Sleep" mode has to be activated on the Samsung, the "FitBit" did it automatically. I wish that the Samsung also activated itself. I've fallen asleep and forgot to turn it on. Last, the large screen really opens up a world of uses simply by touching the screen. I'd be lucky to find the screen on the FitBit! It's small and my eyesight isn't what it used to be. My Samsung is new, I'm getting better. I wouldn't trade it for the FitBit. i find myself using features I never thought I would. (Being able to see the screen helps with that, LOL!) I really like it.

Can I set a timer/ stop watch on it?
Yes. When you swipe the screen (like your phone) there is an app for both timer and stopwatch.
