Cheap Ear Hooks break with no replacement w/Moto

I purchased this boom recently I went to switch out the ear hook that it was shipped with and it was damaged....and fell apart so I put the other one on its the smaller one in the pack and it hurts my ear after only several minutes. I tried contacting Motorola and they do not have the replacement parts??!!!!...I could by them from Amazon non-OME parts and pay $17.95 to get them in a couple of days....$6.99 for the ear hooks to be added....or I can return the perfectly good working Blue tooth for a replacement what a major inconvenience....and poor customer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is this Moto as fragile as some claim it to be?

To purchase this Moto only to have the boom piece break off, even while being constantly fragile with it, seems to be a waste of money...am I correct in assuming that? Is the boom piece really that flimsy?

I find the product to be cheaply made when it comes to the ear hooks they break easily and are extremely uncomfortable. Motorola said they do not have the replacement ear hooks to send out....to by them form on line...which will cost you $6.99..plus $17.95 shipping so you can get them in just a timely manner.
