We have been members of TiVo for several years and love it. When our TiVo DVR died we started looking around for a devise that would let us record not just cable but could also be used to record television over the air. This DVR will do that. We are tired of paying the high prices to Comcast and don't want to switch to Satelite, but still wanted to be able to record our favorite shows. This is about the only DVR that will do that. It was easy to set up and program. Love being able to watch one channel while recording other channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I needed a camera that would take pictures in any kind of weather, from swimming in Hawaii to skiing in Colorado. This camera is perfect for that. I don't have to worry about it getting wet or being dropped. The pictures and movies are a great quality. The controls are easy to use under water. Battery life is better then I expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can I watch any other TV program while recording 4 separate programs?

Also, do I need a special card if I've gotten rid of my Comcast Cable box?
Yes - we often record other channels while watching a 5th.

Can I eliminate the cable with a smart tv?

With Roamio Plus, can I connect only to internet without cable?
This is about the only DVR that I could find that will let you record tv from an antenna.
