What's great about it: two products in one
Bought for a meeting where I had a speaker who needed to show a DVD and a VHS. More cost effective to buy this combo than individual components since the VHS by itself was over $200. I am reserving full judgement on the product due to bad experiences with previous combo machines. I would only recommend if someone has to have a VHS because it is cheaper than a stand alone VHS.

What's great about it: Had the ability to be held in one hand with strap
What's not so great: begins fraying down the middle and at the edges quickly
This provided what I needed at the time of purchase. It doesn't hold up to daily use. I have only had it a month and it is already fraying in the middle with normal daily use. If you have time to shop around, I would recommend that. If, like me, you have no choice but to buy what is on the store shelf, this will work. Just won't last for very long.

What's great about it: small size makes portability great
Used for both personal and business applications. There is a learning curve to working with iPad and iPhone with it in a large meeting room in a hotel but works well once you get the hang of it. Must be able to connect with HDMI or use an HDMI/DVI adapter to connect to DVI.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What type cords are needed for conntection to TV / Cable

I am purchasing the Toshiba SDV296 as a gift...what type cord do I need to enable connection to tv and cable etc??
It has component video out, s-video and regular old video out. comes with those cheap cables. There is no HDMI or DVI output.

Where is the built in strap?

I'm not sure if I am missing something, but I can't locate the built in strap that is indicated on the package.
The inside of the front cover of the one I bought has a 3" strap that has elastic on both ends. that strap is on the side closest to the middle.

Magnet compatibility

Does this case offer magnet compatibility to turn your ipad off when you close the cover?
No, and that is a downside!
